Yes, watching Save Salla feels like watching a soap series about a local community with too big ambitions. And true, they have.
The community is trying to host the Summer Olympics of 2032 in their own village. A small town in the north of Finland. But what a great way to showcase the urgency of global heating. A very nice example of using marketing for the good.
They even top it off with Kesa, their reindeer mascotte, and other totally nonsensical Olympic merchandise.
